D&D: In-Store Play

  • I wanted to create this forum to inform everyone about the plans for in-store D&D.

As of now, I am planning on 2 TTRPG events per month.

    Event 1: Newbie Friendly D&D

    • Dungeon Master
      • May be static, or we rotate through a few volunteers.
      • The DM(s) will be focused on short 3-4 hour campaigns geared towards newer players, and will need to be a good teacher.
    • Players
      • Option 1: Youth D&D
        • People will sign up on the forums, and admission will be capped at the number for the event.
        • Repeat players will be allowed, but priority will be given to first-timers.
        • Age range could be something in the 9-14 range.
      • Option 2: Adult D&D
        • People will sign up on the forums, and admission will be capped at the number for the event.
        • Repeat players will be allowed, but priority will be given to first-timers.
        • Age range could be in the 17-50+ range.

    Event 2: Veteran D&D or random TTRPG's

    • Option 1: Veteran D&D
      • Store D&D
        • Similar to the Newbie Friendly D&D, but it is geared towards advanced players.  Campaigns can run multiple sessions.  The DM would be provided, and they would set all rules for the campaign.
      • Random D&D
        • Groups sign up to use a table for their campaign.  They provide the DM.  Story Arc is just used for table space.
    • Option 2: Round Robin TTRPG - New Player Focused
      • Rather than D&D, one event might be Pathfinder.  The next one might be Heroes Unlimited or Magical Kittens, etc.
      • The benefit of going this route is that people get to try out new systems without the initial monetary investment.

This is still in the planning phases, so if there are any suggestions, please feel free.  Story Arc is not set up for permanent play, so I am trying to come up with a system that works for the community and the store.
